Library - Senior Executive Officer / Executive Officer
(Ref: SEO/EO (LIB) 2024-04-19)

Responsibilities
  • assist with the implementation of Library strategic plan, new initiatives, policies and guidelines, general rules and procedural changes;
  • perform administrative support services including: monitor library budget, process office procurement, maintain online filing systems, manage recruitment for student helpers, new staff orientation, compile statistics and produce reports;
  • provide secretarial support to Library committee, task force and meetings;
  • prepare Library annual report, administrative plan and policy documents;
  • manage Library publicity through a variety of communication tools; and
  • assist in promoting library services, organising events, collecting feedbacks and external liaisons/collaboration.

 

Applicants Should
  • possess a recognised bachelor’s degree with at least 4 years of relevant working experience;
  • have proficiency in using Microsoft Office, MS SharePoint, MS Teams with experience in social media applications will be an advantage;
  • have a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese;
  • have good interpersonal, communication, collaborative and organisational skills and be able to manage complex tasks with a high level of accuracy; and
  • be attended to details and a good team player.

Work experience in the higher education sector and qualification in librarianship will be an advantage. Applicants with less experience will be considered as Executive Officer.
