Department of English - Senior Lecturer/Lecturer

The Department seeks outstanding applicants for teaching English Language modules. The appointees will be responsible for developing current and new modules to further strengthen the English language curriculum. He/She will also be expected to provide services to the department and the University, including English Language Centre non-credit-bearing activities, departmental events, and the lecture-engagement scheme.
- possess a master’s degree or higher academic qualifications in English studies or related disciplines;
- have teaching experience at the tertiary level;
- preferably have expertise in developing EAP courses relevant to the academic disciplines at HSUHK; and
- be self-motivated, demonstrate teamwork and exhibit leadership.
The ability to secure external funding and/or teach content-based courses in linguistics and literature at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels will be an advantage. The appointee is expected to assume duty in August 2024. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
