Department of English - Senior Lecturer/Lecturer
(Ref: SL_L (ENG) 2024-04-26)

Responsibilities

The Department seeks outstanding applicants for teaching English Language modules. The appointees will be responsible for developing current and new modules to further strengthen the English language curriculum.  He/She will also be expected to provide services to the department and the University, including English Language Centre non-credit-bearing activities, departmental events, and the lecture-engagement scheme. 

 

 

Applicants Should
  • possess a master’s degree or higher academic qualifications in English studies or related disciplines;
  • have teaching experience at the tertiary level;
  • preferably have expertise in developing EAP courses relevant to the academic disciplines at HSUHK; and
  • be self-motivated, demonstrate teamwork and exhibit leadership.

The ability to secure external funding and/or teach content-based courses in linguistics and literature at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels will be an advantage.
