The University now invites application for the research project “Anti-Scam and Financial Education and Research Project”, which aims at understanding and combating scams in the community. The project is funded by the Research Matching Grants Scheme and is now seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Part-Time Research Assistant to help coordinate and transcribe interviews:

Research Assistant (Part-time) - Department of Accountancy

Responsibilities
  • coordinate and schedule interviews with participants;
  • transcribe and organize interview recordings accurately;
  • maintain confidentiality and sensitivity when handling participant information;
  • assist in analyzing qualitative data and summarizing findings; and
  • collaborate with the research team to ensure project goals are met.

 

Applicants Should
  • possess a recognised bachelor’s degree, preferably with a master’s degree or above, in Social Sciences, Psychology, or a related field;
  • preferably have experience in fieldwork and conducting in-depth interviews;
  • be familiar with transcription software or tools is a plus;
  • have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua);
  • have good communication skills and organisational skills; and
  • be able to work independently and manage time effectively, and attentive to detail.
