Office of Provost and Vice-President (Academic and Research) - Executive Officer
(Ref: EO (PV/VPARO) 2024-12-06)

Responsibilities
  • provide all-round support to the Provost and Vice-President (Academic and Research) and/ or his delegate in launching and implementing new research development initiatives; 
  • organize events and meetings to promote research among faculty members and researchers;
  • maintain and update the website of the Office; 
  • handle research grant applications and project matters; 
  • process reimbursement claims and direct payment requests for research activities and projects; 
  • develop and maintain central databases for grant applications, on-going projects and research publications, and compile statistical reports on research performance and research activities; and
  • provide administrative support to University committees and other functions of the Office.

 

Applicants Should
  • possess a recognised university degree with at least 4 years of working experience preferably in research grant administration and higher education sector;
  • have excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese;
  • be highly attentive to details and have the ability to maintain accurate databases and records;
  • possess good computer skills and have administrative abilities, excellent interpersonal and organizational skills; and
  • be a good team player and able to work independently and efficiently.
