The University now invites application for the following position:

• set up and manage on-premises and remote site network equipment (switch, NG firewall, router, WAF) and VPC on cloud platforms to provide stable, efficient and secure network environments;
• set up and manage enterprise class Wi-Fi system (over 1,000 APs) for Campus Network, Residential Colleges and remote sites;
• manage ADC for load balancing and SSL offloading;
• supervise contractors for on-premises and remote site network cable installation;
• perform network operations and manage network security and access control;
• monitor system and network health, cybersecurity threats and respond to alerts;
• troubleshoot system and network operation, performance and security issues; and
• document system and network configuration and operation procedures.

• possess a recognised bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science or relevant discipline, with at least 3 years of network or system experience;
• have experience in one or more of the following areas:
  • Network technologies and protocols: VLAN, LACP, STP, NAT, SNMP, VPN (IPsec/SSL), DNS, DHCP, RADIUS, 802.1x, SIP, BGP;
  • Network and security tools: Traceroute, Tcpdump/Wireshark, OpenSSL;
  • Network equipment: NG firewall (FortiGate, PaloAlto), Juniper network switch and router, Aruba Wi-Fi AP and controller, A10 ADC;
  • Open-source technologies: Linux, MariaDB/MySQL, Nginx/Apache, PHP-FPM, BIND, Net-SNMP, FreeRADIUS, Kea, FreePBX, OSSEC, Wazuh;
  • Microsoft technologies: Windows Server, Remote Desktop Gateway, Network Policy Server;
  • Virtualization and container technologies: VMware/Hyper-V/KVM;
  • Monitoring and logging platforms: Zabbix/Icinga, Prometheus, Grafana, OpenSearch/ELK;
  • Cloud platforms: Azure, AWS, Aliyun, GCP; and
  • Automation/Infrastructure as Code: scripting (shell, Python), Ansible, Terraform, Git.

• be self-motivated, able to work independently with minimal supervision and willing to work for on-call duties during non-office hours.
