Office of Provost and Vice-President (Academic and Research) - Assistant to Provost and Vice-President (Academic and Research)
(Ref: A to PV/VPAR (PV/VPARO) 2025-03-14)

Responsibilities
  • assist Provost and Vice-President (Academic and Research)(PV/VPAR) in the planning and development of policies, design and delivery of curriculum and implementation of academic-related / specific programmes / projects;
  • support the preparation of the University Academic Development Plan, annual reports, and other relevant documents;
  • act as the contact point between the University and external funding bodies;
  • coordinate applications for internal and external research funding, manage grant submissions, and oversee the allocation of funds;
  • advise colleague on research-related matters and providing statistical reports on research and publications;
  • work closely with internal and external parties in support of the PV/VPAR; and
  • serve as Secretary to the University Research Committee and various other committees, including preparing papers and reports.

 

Applicants Should
  • possess a recognised degree with at least 10 years’ executive experience, preferably in the development / accreditation / administration of academic programme;
  • have excellent planning, report writing, time management and organizational skills;
  • have strong command of written and spoken English and Chinese;
  • possess strong organizational and analytical skills, ability to work under minimum supervision with attention to details; and
  • have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Experience of working in the tertiary education sector will be an advantage.
