Library - Assistant Librarian II (Collections and Technical Services)
(Ref: AL II (LIB) 2025-06-06)

Responsibilities
  • manage the life cycle of electronic resources, including sourcing and evaluation of new resources, subscription and access management, usage analysis and user support;
  • contribute to the evaluation of collections and the development of their promotion plans;
  • assess and integrate innovative technologies to enhance library services; and
  • perform reference duties, provide support for orientation programmes and user education workshops.

 

Applicants Should
  • possess a bachelor’s degree and professional qualification in librarianship (MLS or equivalent);
  • have at least 2 years of post-qualification experience, including experience in electronic resource management;
  • possess hands-on experience with coding, web application development, and AI/ML is advantageous;
  • have knowledge of collection assessment and management; and
  • have excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.

The appointee will be required to work shifts in evenings, on weekends and public holidays. Work experience in the tertiary education sector will be an advantage.
