Centre for Quality Standard and Management - Deputy Director
(Ref: D Dir (CQSM) 2025-06-06)
- assist the Co-Director/Director in developing and implementing the center’s strategic plans and objectives;
- lead and manage a team of quality assurance professionals, providing guidance and support;
- develop, implement, and monitor quality assurance policies and procedures;
- ensure compliance with relevant quality standards and regulatory requirements;
- analyse quality metrics and performance data to identify areas for improvement;
- prepare and present reports on quality management initiatives for senior leadership;
- collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to foster a culture of quality;
- facilitate training and workshops on quality standards and management practices;
- promote the adoption of best practices in quality management; and
- lead initiatives aimed at enhancing service delivery and operational efficiency.
- hold a PhD in a relevant field (e.g., Operations Management, Quality Management, Business Administration), certification in Quality Management (e.g., Six Sigma, CQI) is preferred;
- have a minimum of 15 years of experience in quality management or operations management in related academic/industry fields, with at least 5 years in a leadership position;
- preferably have experience in both academic and industry settings in related fields, along with a strong publication record in relevant areas;
- demonstrate a proven track record of managing quality improvement projects;
- have leading academic programs ranging from Professional Diploma to Master Programs in different areas;
- be proficient in quality management software and data analysis tools;
- possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
- fluency in Putonghua is an advantage; and
- exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
