Finance Office - Procurement Officer
(Ref: PO (FO) 2025-07-18)
- perform daily operations and projects relating to the following purchasing/procurement functions:
- assist in sourcing for quotation/tendering exercise, drafting or reviewing specifications, and prepare Request for Quotation / Tendering documents and ensure compliance with established policies and procedures;
- compile price summaries and tender reports, purchase orders/service agreements and related amendments, and order progressing and follow-up dispute cases;
- compile annual procurement-related statistical reports; and
- maintain University’s supplier list and follow-up on suppliers’ registration.
- conduct routine monitoring of outsourced catering outlets on campus:
- handle enquiries and complaints follow-up;
- compile relevant reports and statistics, provide secretarial support.
- assist supervisors in handling the University’s insurance matters.
- support in system implementation and operation enhancement.
- possess a recognised bachelor’s degree in business administration, procurement / supply chain or related discipline;
- have 3 years of relevant working experience in handling RFQ and tendering process and sound purchasing knowledge;
- have hands-on experience with ERP system (familiar with Oracle Financials is an advantage) and proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint);
- have good command of written and spoken English and Chinese;
- have good analytical mindset, problem-solving, interpersonal and negotiation skills; and
- be a good team player and able to work independently.
Work experience in the public sector or non-profit making organisations will be an advantage. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
