Graduate School - Assistant Manager

Responsibilities
  • collaborate with academic departments and other units to develop and execute marketing and promotional strategies to increase awareness and enrolment of HSUHK taught postgraduate programmes;
  • develop strategy on outreaching efforts and activities to enhance the University profile to attract prospective students to postgraduate programmes, such as information sessions, and recruitment fairs.
  • oversee the implementation of the HIGH Programme, a comprehensive student learning engagement programme and other initiatives that align with the GS's commitment to interdisciplinary learning and societal impact;
  • responsible to organise University events, international conference and networking events to foster community and professional development, managing logistics and promotions.
  • maintain good relationship with industry partners, government agencies, non-governmental organisations, and other stakeholders to develop collaborative opportunities that enhance students' exposure to real-world challenges and experiential learning;
  • represent the university at Education Expos and promotional events in overseas locations and mainland China to enhance visibility and attract prospective students; and
  • work with faculty members to support interdisciplinary learning initiatives across different academic disciplines, as well as with internal departments to ensure a seamless student experience while ensuring compliance with university policies and staying updated on industry trends.

 

Applicants Should
  • possess a bachelor's degree with at least 8 years of relevant working experience, preferably in supporting TPG matters;
  • have proven experience in event coordination or student engagement initiatives within an educational or related environment, and a track record of showcasing leadership capabilities in guiding a small team towards successful outcomes;
  • be proficient in both written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua) and demonstrate the ability to write compelling content that resonates with cultural nuances;
  • possess good marketing sense and be familiar with various kinds of social media engagement and promotional strategies;
  • have exceptional interpersonal, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders;
  • be dedicated to cultivating a nurturing learning atmosphere and championing experiential learning opportunities for students;
  • be proactive and able to take initiative, work independently, deliver high-quality work under a tight deadline, and thrive in a fast-paced environment;
  • demonstrate a strong sense of accountability and attention to detail; and
  • be willing to travel abroad and to mainland China for business.
