Information Technology Services Centre - Senior Technical Officer / Technical Officer
(Ref: STO/TO (ITSC) 2025-10-24)

Responsibilities
  • lead the AV team and serve as the primary point of contact for event support collaboration and organisation;
  • provide technical support for events, live, meetings, and conferences while maintaining high standards of guest experience and service delivery;
  • conduct post-event evaluations to assess success, gather feedback, and identify areas for improvement;
  • establish maintenance schedules or procedures according to appropriate quality and performance standards for designated AV equipment and systems, and recommend solutions for replacing legacy AV equipment; and
  • prepare documentation such as event support guidelines, AV usage, and statistical reports for event venues.

 

Applicants Should
  • possess a bachelor’s degree or above qualification in a related discipline;
  • preferably have at least 5 years of experience in the role of event management, with at least 3 years of direct supervisory experience over an event team;
  • have strong technical knowledge on AV equipment and system, including audio, visual, lighting, video streaming and control system;
  • possess good knowledge of AV technologies and standards, such as AVoIP, Dante and NDI;
  • have strong organisational, communication and interpersonal skills;
  • have good command of written and spoken English and Chinese;
  • be pleasant with a positive mindset, good customer sense and willing to learn new technologies; and
  • be able to work independently.

Applicants with less experience will be considered as Technical Officer. The appointee will be required to work shifts in the evenings, on weekends and on holidays.
