School of Business - Senior School Manager

Responsibilities
  • report to the Dean of School;
  • assist in the strategic planning of the School and drive key strategic initiatives in advancing the School’s profile;
  • serve as a key administrator in the School including staff management and resources allocation;
  • monitor the progress of the School’s academic development and ensure alignment with School objectives;
  • oversee the administration of academic programmes in the School and facilitate effective communication among faculty and staff;
  • lead various accreditation and re-accreditation exercises for local and external accreditation agencies including HKCAAVQ, AACSB, EQUIS, etc.;
  • initiate participation in various business school rankings to advance the School’s international standing;
  • in charge of the School’s branding and communications channels, including monthly eNews, website, social media and magazine;
  • provide secretariat support to various committees of the School and follow up the resolutions made by the committees;
  • organise and coordinate School-wide academic activities such as conferences, seminars, workshops,  field trips, internships and academic exchanges etc.; and
  • coordinate the School administration with other Schools / Departments / Offices, and work closely with other academic divisions and teams to support the University’s strategy.

 

Applicants Should
  • possess a recognised bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, preferably with a master’s degree; 
  • have solid administrative and supervisory experience, preferably in tertiary institutions;
  • have a high level of competency in committee work and writing reports; 
  • have excellent command of both spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua);
  • possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills; and
  • be well-organised, able to work under pressure and have multi-task capability.
