Graduate School – Assistant Manager / Senior Executive Officer

Responsibilities
  • collaborate with academic departments and other units to develop and execute marketing and promotional strategies to increase awareness and enrolment of HSUHK taught postgraduate programmes;
  • assist in developing outreaching strategy and activities to enhance the University profile to attract prospective students to postgraduate programmes, such as information sessions, and recruitment fairs;
  • organise University events, international conference and networking  opportunities  to foster community engagement and professional development while managing logistics and promotions, to attract prospective students;
  • maintain good relationship with industry partners, government agencies, NGOs, and other stakeholders to develop collaborative opportunities that enhance students' exposure to real-world challenges and experiential learning;
  • represent the University at Education Expos and promotional events in overseas locations and Chinese Mainland to enhance visibility and attract prospective students; and
  • support interdisciplinary initiatives with faculty members and internal departments, ensuring compliance with University policies while enhancing the taught postgraduate student experience.

 

Applicants Should
  • possess a bachelor's degree with at least 6 years of relevant work experience, preferably in supporting postgraduate education;
  • have proven experience in event coordination or stakeholder engagement initiatives within an educational or related environment, and a track record of showcasing leadership capabilities in guiding a small team towards successful outcomes;
  • be proficient in both written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua) and demonstrate the ability to write compelling content that resonates with cultural nuances;
  • possess good marketing sense and be familiar with various kinds of social media engagement and promotional strategies;
  • have exceptional interpersonal, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders;
  • be dedicated to cultivating a nurturing learning atmosphere and championing experiential learning opportunities for students;
  • be proactive and able to take initiative, work independently, deliver high-quality work under a tight deadline, and thrive in a fast-paced environment;
  • demonstrate a strong sense of accountability and attention to detail; and
  • be willing to travel abroad and to Chinese Mainland for business.

This employment is initially on a 10-month contract, and is renewable subject to performance review and mutual agreement.  Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
