The appointee(s) will be responsible for teaching one or more of the following undergraduate modules:
- COM1000 Contemporary Information Technologies and Artificial Intelligence
This is a common core curriculum module. This module covers the fundamentals of artificial intelligence, blockchain, cloud computing, big data, etc.
- COM1013 Towards the Future: Metaverse
This is a common core curriculum module. This module provides students with a foundational understanding of the Metaverse, its key concepts, technologies, and implications for individuals and society. Subject areas include Metaverse and human development, moral reasoning and social responsibility, Metaverse applications, future of the Metaverse.
- COM2005 Introduction to Computer Programming
This is a programme major module. Subject areas include language constructs, functions, simple data types, coding, documentation, program testing and debugging.
- COM3114 Cybersecurity
This is a programme major module. Subject areas include security governance and risk management, access control, network security, cryptography, threats and vulnerabilities, incident response and recovery, legal issues, emerging trends.
Applicants should have a master’s degree or above in related disciplines. Relevant teaching experience at university level is preferred. Applicants with a bachelor’s degree and tertiary teaching experience or industrial experience in relevant fields will also be considered.
Please indicate clearly which of the above modules you can teach. The appointee is expected to assume duty in August 2026. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
