School of Communication – Senior Executive Officer
(Ref: SEO (SCOM) 2026-05-22)

Responsibilities
  • conceive, plan, and execute initiatives aimed at elevating the branding and image of the School, while promoting its academic programmes to prospective students, alumni, and external stakeholders;
  • organise and oversee high-level events and activities that highlight the School's academic excellence, industry connections, and achievements, targeting prospective students, educators, and professional communities;
  • design and manage engaging multi-channel marketing campaigns (both digital and offline) to drive visibility, foster engagement, and enhance the School’s reputation locally and globally.
  • proactively engage with journalists, editors and media outlets to secure positive coverage and enhance the visibility of the School;
  • write, edit, and produce professional press releases, creative promotional materials, and dynamic storytelling content to effectively communicate the School’s vision, mission, and successes;
  • develop and oversee professional content for the School’s website and social media platforms, including Facebook, WeChat, Xiaohongshu, and other emerging tools, to ensure consistent messaging and brand alignment;
  • partner with faculty, School management, and external organisations to ensure alignment and consistency across branding, communication, and promotional efforts; and
  • assist the Senior School Manager by supervising junior team members and overseeing major communication initiatives, operational projects, and administrative systems.

 

Applicants Should
  • hold a recognised degree with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience, including at least 3 years in news or media industry, marketing, event management, creative agencies, or branding roles;
  • demonstrate a strong track record of successfully leading and coordinating high-profile events, with excellent project management and organisational skills; possess solid experience in developing and implementing strategic marketing plans and effective social media initiatives to promote brand presence and engagement;
  • exhibit strong bilingual communication skills (written and spoken) in English and Chinese, with capability in writing, editing, and conveying messages that align with organisational objectives;
  • be a self-driven leader with a detail-oriented mindset, capable of working independently under pressure while maintaining high accountability and meeting tight deadlines;
  • demonstrate exceptional interpersonal and leadership abilities, with proven experience in building partnerships and collaborating effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders; and 
  • display creativity and innovation, with experience in overseeing the production of impactful promotional materials and working with creative tools or design software.
