The University now invites applications for the following position:

• coordinate and implement sports-related student development programmes to enhance students’ physical fitness and mental resilience;
• support the planning and delivery of University-wide sports events and inter-institutional sports activities;
• coordinate University Sports Teams and manage related administration and logistics;
• supervise the Physical Education Assistant in management of sports facilities and equipment usage;
• provide administrative and operational support to the Physical Education Section, including budgeting, procurement, record management and report preparation;
• assist in management and scheduling of sports facilities and resources;
• handle enquiries and provide support services to internal and external stakeholders regarding programmes and activities; and
• support publicity and engagement efforts to promote student participation and a healthy campus lifestyle.

• possess a recognised bachelor’s degree in any discipline;
• have at least 3 years of relevant work experience in programme coordination, event management, or team supervision;
• have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua);
• have strong administrative and organisational skills;
• have good interpersonal and communication skills;
• be able to work independently and efficiently; and
• demonstrate interest or exposure in sports, wellness or student development initiatives.

The appointee will be required to work shifts in evenings, on weekends and public holidays.

Holding a recognised coaching certification issued by the respective national sports bodies and a valid first-aid certificate will be an advantage.  Work experience in the higher education sector and immediate availability will be an advantage. Applicants with less experience will be considered as Assistant Officer.
